The food of Iran is filled with spices, herbs, and flowers, many of which are unique to Persian cuisine. Inside the spice set you’ll find the seasonings for a wide range of recipes from Iran.

This is a perfect starter collection for those who are new to Persian cooking, or who grew up with Persian food and want to start cooking it themselves. Along with individual spices, it contains advieh spice mix, a seasoning blend for Persian rice and meat dishes. It also contains a mix of herbs known as sabzi, best known for its use in the spring/summer stew ghormeh sabzi.

Option to add a signed copy of The New Persian Kitchen by Louisa Shafia. This award-winning cookbook contains recipes that use all of the spices in the Spice Set, from Snacks to Entrées to Desserts.

Our spices are sourced from Suraj Spices & Teas in Nashville, TN, a spice purveyor run by Aarika Patel. Patel's parents opened Nashville's first Indian grocery store in the 1980's, and she proudly carries on the family tradition of selling high quality international ingredients.
